Karim Shipping Lines Ltd. (KSL), a concern of the Karim Group was founded in 2011. The initial reason was to open up a new era in the existing cargo transportation system of the country through quality service and inclusion of more up-to-date cargo ships. In the beginning, the company had only seven mini tanker vessels. Later, with the gradual incorporation of more ships having various properties, KSL began to enlarge its range of activities beyond the country.

Through  dedication and hard work, it had the opportunities to work for notable corporations like Bangladesh Petroleum Corporation (B.P.C.), Bashundhara Group, Mir Cement, NDE, CRCC, etc. After establishing a good foundation in the country by providing outstanding services in the big river ports and important seaports of Bangladesh, the company has now been slowly working towards to transform itself into a global shipping line.
